The MT587 15kV DC CAT III 300V Diagnostic Insulation Tester, with increments of 50V on each range up to 10kV and thereafter in increments of 500V will automatically discharge the circuit after the test has been completed. Using the range button switches, 6 preset ranges of 500V, 1000V, 2500V, 5kV, 10kV and 15kV can be selected, with an insulation resistance up to 50TΩ. The microprocessor controlled MT587 has the capability of being a diagnostic tool and is intended for testing insulation on Rotating Machines, Transformers, Cables, High Voltage Generators, Electric Circuits and Surge Arrestors. The short circuit current output is up to 6mA. It has the function of measuring Absorption Ratio and Polarization Index of AC voltage and DC voltage and 500 test measurement results can be saved in the memory of the meter and recalled onto the LCD display. The large backlit LCD display indicates the readings of insulation, measuring time, output voltage and output current. The MT587 can measure up to 750V AC and up to 1000V DC and Capacitance up to 50μF, and is housed in a robust case ideal for extended field use, powered by 12.6V rechargeable Lithium batteries. Stored data can be transferred to a PC using an optical USB and software supplied.
