The BVA Ester Tester is a simple and safe way to determine the percentage of mineral oils remaining in a compressor when changing over to a Polyol ester oil as part of a retrofit from R12, R22, R500 to the newer refrigerants.
The Easter Tester is accurate to within 1%. Unlike chemical test kits that don't work on all esters, the Ester Tester will work on all types of oils with a refractive index of 1.355 to 1.520.
The only thing necessary to operate the Ester Tester is a good source of light and graph paper.
